the never-ending saga of framing

a few months ago i tried to give myself a bit of a break, and find an easier way to frame my work. long story short, it was a big pain-in-the-ass (though i'm still working on it), and i'm back to the old pain-in-the-ass way of doing it. with a twist. instead of plain old black paper, i'm seeing dots. lots of dots.

OOH! see if you can get your hands on some of the stuff they use to make SEQUINS. they punch them out of the mylar sheets (or whatever sequins are made out of) and then you have a long strip of holes in shiny metal....they are GREAT for making patterns like that. also bubble-wrap for direct printing, not screening, works really well and gives a very unusual print...

YOU know I'm a huge fan but I really love the black frames on the artwork instead of just the white boxes ! I was a picture framer for a lot of years and boy it is a pain in the ass ! The paper backing looks great and I love the black ribbon !

thank you:)
the ribbon nicely hides the picture wire.
